Vienna Transport Map - U-Bahn Map & Route Planner App Reviews

Apple Maps suggested this app when I indicated I wanted to trawl by rail to my destination. So I downloaded it and when it launched from Apple Maps, it just showed me the ail map. It didnt actually show me which trains I should take to get to my destination. I expected it to highlight the way for me, not show me another map so I cold find my own way there.

All this app does is give you links to other sites. While I suppose that has some value its not what I expected from the description.

Good map, it show all the attractions.

Just started using the App. Great first impression.

When you click on No ads you are offered a chance to upgrade, but are not given any guidance. So I bought the Lite version, and when that did not get rid of ads I bought the Pro version. I still get the ads in a Pro version?!!? Ive never seen that before, and there simply is no help available.

App has ads in it, despite being a paid app. It prompts you to rate and tweet about upon first launch, so here it is. On top of all that, app just downloads PDFs from websites. Complete ripoff.

I hoped for at least a Vienna subway map(comparable to NYC metro upp) but it just sends me to badly readable PDF file

All this app does is give you links to websites to download THEIR apps. And so many ads its confusing visually. When I did download a map, I have no idea where it went. Spent $.99 elsewhere to buy what I really wanted- a simple map of Vienna ubahn system. Now THAT was worth $.99. Deleting this app. Waste of time.

This app is actually good for nothing. Any paper map can tell you what this app tells you. I couldnt find any apps for Vienna that would tell me how to get somewhere with gps directions and other options.

The app gives very clear directions for getting from station to station on viennas underground. There are not any bells and whistles, but sometimes thats alright.

Headed to Prague and Vienna, I needed a good transit map. I bought this and checked it out. Neat app, I thought to myself while still sitting at home. I liked the interactive stuff and how it would show a suggested route. Perfect. Then I saw that for a couple bucks I could get the Prague transit map, so I paid for it. Big mistake. I found that the Prague was not interactive. Just dumb. I was upset. When I got to Prague I found that google maps was immensely helpful and had everything I needed. Waste of $3. Then I got to Vienna. I started using the app to route actual destinations since Google maps will not. Then I noticed that it routes based on fewest stops, not distance or fewest transfers. A route that requires 2 trains would take one less stop if I transfer twice rather than just staying on the train and going a little farther and transferring once. One time it actually suggested that I get off the train I was on to transfer to another train, to transfer back to the first. By the time I was done with my trip I was using the map as a dumb map and found that the map on the train was more useful. DO NOT buy this app. It is not worth the price.
